Meet Paisley , a sweet buff cocker girl about 2 years old. She was found as a stray by NC Animal Control. No owner came to claim her so the shelter asked for rescue help. She was a good girl and did well on her ride to rescue, just timid, scared and wondering where she was going. And, she was hot and uncomfortable from all of her overgrown fur and the dirty hanging mats. The air conditioned car felt good and she fell asleep on the back seat.
She is heartworm negative and being treated for lime/tick disease. She came here dirty, muddy and badly matted as you can see from the pictures. The mats were just hanging off her and pulling at her skin, so it hurt and was very uncomfortable. After she came in, we took her and actually worked with her to cut some of the mats cut off before taking her to a grooming appointment. She is a nice girl, very sweet and dog friendly. When she first meets you, she is scared but once she knows that you will not hurt her, she warms up nicely. She will be a wonderful companion for someone to love, you will just need to work with her on socialization skills and house training in a new environment. She would love to be your sweet baby girl and share a great life with you.
Her adoption fee is: $400..
